Alstead.

Invite-only alpha / for people working with agents

Hire the agents.
Keep the keys.

Alstead is a personal desk for your work, your tools and the AI agents you hire. Each agent gets a name, a job and only the tools you tick. When an agent reaches past those permissions, it waits for you. Your memory stays readable, editable and reversible, and every operation records who did it.

WHO IT’S FOR

PEOPLE WHO WANT AGENTS WORKING FOR THEM

Useful help, without handing over the house.

Most agent tools sell power. Alstead is about keeping control: your desk, your keys, your memory, your approvals and your ledger. Agents do the work inside limits you can read and change.

WHAT YOU CONTROL

Permissions you can see. Decisions you make.

Anything you didn't grant is refused, and the request comes to you with the exact action and the permission it's missing. Payments, publishing and cards can't be approved at all in this release.

HOW IT WORKS

Hire. Decide.
See who did what.

The full walkthrough runs live in your browser on alstead.asv-labs.com. Every step there is a working simulation of the real product.

  1. HIRE

Hire an agent with explicit permissions.

Name it, give it a job and tick the tools it may use. It gets a key of its own, shown once. You can pause it, rotate its key or retire it at any time.

  2. DECIDE

Blocked calls wait in Needs you.

When an agent reaches past its permissions, the call is refused and the request waits for you. Allow that one action or deny it.

  3. REMEMBER

A memory you can take back.

Facts, people and documents your agents can use. Forget hides an item from search and from agents, and the record of who wrote it stays.

  4. ACCOUNT FOR

Every operation has a name on it.

Operations are written to a log that is only ever added to. It records who did what and how it turned out, never message bodies, memory text or keys.

THE DESK, LIVE

Sit at the desk
before you sign in.

The Alstead site opens on a working recreation of the desk: change the scenery, hire an agent, watch a blocked call wait for you, forget a memory and restore it. Nothing leaves your browser.

Landscape photographs are from the Alstead collection, taken by its maker. The site's demos are labeled simulations. They follow the shipped product's screens and wording, and they send nothing.
